The lane beyond the white barred fences is marked on the Ordnance Survey 1:50,000 scale mapping with a series of red blobs which indicate "Other route with public access", although the markings stop a long way before the farm. Other in this context is in comparison with footpaths and bridleways which have an implied public access in any case.
