This tram has just left the Promenade and has entered the short street working section which passes the Metropole Hotel. It is heading for the southern terminus at Starr Gate. The tram, much rebuilt, is an English Electric railcoach from the early 1930's. At one time it was used to haul a trailer but currently, 2008, it is in Blackpool's "mothballed" reserve fleet.
