Opened in 1937, the present building is a magnificent example of Art Deco architecture and is naturally listed. http://www.inverness.highland.sch.uk/ The architects were George Reid and James Smith Forbes of the Reid & Forbes practice (see http://www.codexgeo.co.uk/dsa/building_full.php?id=M019986 ) In early June 2008 the building received an almost £30,000 paint job in preparation for the visit of Prince Charles and Camilla, hopefully restoring the building to a gleaming white finish. http://www.highland-news.co.uk/news/fullstory.php/aid/3809/School_is_made_fit_for_a_Prince.html
