Manor house, at one time The George Coaching Inn. Late C16, refronted in early C18 with C19 and C20 alterations. Red brick, steeply pitched slate and plain tile roofs. The manor house faces the original market site. Grade II* listed, LBS Number: 51104. http://www.heritagegateway.org.uk/Gateway/Results_Single.aspx?resourceID=5&uid=51104 Nearer the camera, Manor Cottage: dated 168? in recessed panel of ridge stack, though exposed timber-frame to rear may suggest a late C16 date.
