Once each year it was customary for NIR to borrow the CIE weed-spraying train -usually complete with CIE locomotive. This was the one of the highlights of the year for enthusiasts. The train is seen passing the long-closed station at Mossley Image (not the same as today’s Mossley West) bound for Belfast York Road and Larne Harbour.
