Boscombe: Richmond Park Church

This church, on the corner of Palmerston and St. Clement's Road and dated 1898 in the stonework at the left-hand end, was formerly the Salvation Army citadel (which has moved a little south: see Image). The name Richmond Park seems slightly odd oddly: although there is no suburb as such called Richmond Park, the roads with that name are a fair distance northwest of here. The reason is that the church was started in a house in Richmond Park Avenue in 1981 – they bought the former citadel four years later.
