One of a number of similar two-slotted post boxes in the City of London, with various royal ciphers. This Victorian one is in Crosswall, near its junction with Crutched Friars. The majority of these postboxes in the City have one slot for "Meter Mail" (or alternatively "Franked Mail") and the other for "Stamped Mail", reflecting the high business use, but this one is different, in having them designated for "First Class and Abroad" and "Second Class".
