A 1986 view of the station when the Isle of Wight Steam Railway ran only from Wootton to Havenstreet. On the right (the green locomotive) is the uniquely preserved class O2 No 24 "Calbourne" which is currently (2008) undergoing a full overhaul, including a replacement boiler.
