Flats off Butler Lane, Browgate, Baildon

This building is dated 1865. The top two floors were a chapel, but were later used as an indoor market hall and then commercial premises. The middle floor was probably the Sunday School and the bottom two floors a row of back-to-earth dwellings, with cellars, below that I remember being derelict in the 1950s. I am pleased that the whole building has been restored as flats.
