In 1951 Bedfordshire County Council commemorated 'The Festival of Britain' by erecting new village signs in every village in the county. This is the one in Pulloxhill with the Festival's logo at the left end and Bedfordshire County Council's coat of arms at the right end, unfortunately with some slight damage above it.
