The hamlet of Egypt on the B4494 Newbury to Wantage road, consists of just these two pairs of houses and two others. A piece of trivia; "what links Egypt to Brunel?" Answer: this hamlet is exactly halfway as the crow flies between London Paddington and Bristol Temple Meads stations.
