One thing Bicester isn't short of is public houses. Surprisingly The Penny Black is a fairly recent arrival, having opened in October 1997. The rather splendid building is much older having previously been a post office. Indeed the words Post Office can be seen inscribed in stone below the pub's name. This is a J.D. Wetherspoon pub. http://www.jdwetherspoon.co.uk/pubs/pub-details.php?PubNumber=556
