St James's church, Dursley

Dursley's St James's church is situated to the east of the market Place, it is likely to have been founded in the mid-12th century, the earliest record of the church is in 1221. The tower dates from 1707 to 1709, it replaced an earlier medieval tower and spire dating from 1480 which collapsed in 1698.
