Toll House, Exebridge

Image: © Grant Sherman Taken: 29 Nov 2005

Taken on the Exe Valley Way. Thanks to Martin Bodman for pointing out that this is a toll house. I've found it marked on the 1891 map but I haven't found any other info. This from John Kanefsky: "This tollhouse was built in 1824 by the Minehead Turnpike Trust. It ceased to be used as such in 1877 when the Trust was abolished and the road was made free"
