This is the view south from the top of the wheel. The southern end of York station is in the foreground with what looks like local authority housing beyond that. The green space above the built-up area is York racecourse (the track is visible at the extreme right) while just about visible through the murk on the far horizon is a large power station identified as Eggborough thanks to some fine detective work by fellow contributors.
