The Ysgoldy is a former Wesleyan chapel, established in the first half of the nineteenth century by Owen Jones of Quirt against great opposition from his neighbour Rev Evan Jones, the Anglican vicar of Aberffraw and a vocal opponent of religious nonconformity, who lived at Maes-y-porth. Awel y Mor (= "sea breeze") is a modern bungalow.
