The interior of the Crawley ASDA building is almost entirely given over to its vast shop floor. The 10m+ ceiling of this aircraft-hangar-sized space has an odd feel, as though it was designed to house another storey - maybe, one day, it will. Given that it was packed on a Sunday it does appear that shopping is the new religion and this is one of its cathedrals.
