A public house next to the parish church that is historically linked with the Savile dynasty. According to CAMRA it was at one time called the Fosters Arms, and dates from 1777, with parts possibly older. It is not a listed building, but allegedly is one of four pubs in the UK built on consecrated ground, which would give it the protection of the church's Grade I listing.
