Calder Flood Relief Channel at Thornhill

This was the Dewsbury Canal, providing a shortcut for river traffic bypassing a weir. I have not found a date for when it was converted to a flood channel. All the photos on Geograph so far show it empty, but other photos online do show it carrying a substantial flow of water.
