This letterbox was manufactired by McDowall, Steven & Co. The company manufactured cast pillar boxes from 1904 until well into Elizabeth II’s reign. Earlier boxes, including this one, bear the legend LONDON & GLASGOW on the base, with later boxes bearing LONDON & FALKIRK.
