Opened in 1850 by the Blyth & Tyne Railway on its line from Percy Main, later Newcastle, to Blyth and Morpeth, this station closed in 1964. It was rebuilt and reopened by Network Rail in 2026 as part of the reinstated passenger service from Newcastle to Ashington. View southeast towards Bebside and Newcastle. The 1850 station building was still extant in the middle distance when this image was taken, however the original station only had a platform on this side of the track, used by trains in both directions.
