Built on a sacred site - at the intersection of two grid lines! However I believe that the tower is in square NZ2463. This was the parish church until it became a Cathedral in 1882. The present building dates from the 14C and 15C, but there are fragments from a 12C church. The tower is unusual and distinctive; note the very tall windows towards the top, and then the four flying buttresses supporting the central lantern, topped by a small spire. The photo was taken in 1989.
