Newhaven's High Street basks in warm sunshine. In this view there are two pharmacies - a branch of Boots and another still sporting the term 'chemist'. Further down the street is a shop occupying the former HSBC bank premises called 'The Sweet Toke'. The frontage caused some local dismay when it first opened in 2025 because it combines images of sweets with vapes and smoking accessories such as bongs and grinders.
