Opened in 1868 by the Busby Railway which soon became part of the Caledonian Railway, this station is on the line from Glasgow Central to East Kilbride. View south east towards Hairmyres and East Kilbride, a few months after the railway line had been electrified. Few other changes are obvious since Image was taken from a similar camera position. There has only ever been a single platform here.
