Opened in 1866 by the Busby Railway which became soon part of the Caledonian Railway, this station is on the line from Glasgow Central to East Kilbride. View north towards Thornliebank and Glasgow, a few months after the railway line had been electrified and an expensive new footbridge provided - compare with Image
