I first came to Chipchase Island when I was in the Senior Scouts when I was about 15 some 46 years ago --- still gravitating back --- I wonder why? One of our many favourite lunch spots is on Chipchase Island. We went to our usual spot which was overgrown and the wonderful view we normally had of the River North Tyne was blocked by thick vegetation. We quickly came to the conclusion that we hadn't been here for some time and previous visits were not in the summer. However we did manage to find another spot ... you must agree it's beautiful and quiet. Still a favourite lunch spot just in a different spot.
