The Jubilee Arboretum was originally planted in 2012 to commemorate the Head of State's Diamond Jubilee. Work began in 2021 to take down the Myton Centre in William Street to open up the area for new planting and landscaping work, helping to connect the existing Arboretum with William Street Park. An integral part of the Castle Street road improvements, it is Work No. 13 in the schedule of authorised development.
