Edgbarrow Woods is a 91 acre (36.8 hectare) local nature reserve that is owned and managed by Wellington College. The vandalised sign asks members of the public to stick to the designated public rights of way. A nearby information board lists some of the species that are present here including all three snake species found in the UK (adders, grass snakes and the very rare (non-venomous) smooth snakes).
