At No. 1047 Holderness Road, utility inspection cover set in a block of concrete; it was likely installed early 1970s. The inscription reads: F ABBA / & CO LTD / PLUMBERS / HULL. This business was extant by 1903. By 1939 it was based at Nos. 169-171 George Street, by 1942 at 69 & 71 Church Street and 4 Vicar Lane.
