The heritage centre occupies the former school in the village square. It boasts a Venetian window in the gable, and the red-and-white object is an old petrol pump. To the left of the door is a café or tearoom (it was closed so we were unable to sample it) called Murly Tuck. Murly means crumbly, and in this case, according to a notice in the window, it refers to a traditional dish made by crumbling oatcakes into milk.
