Opening Day

Image: © Dr Neil Clifton Taken: 10 May 2000

10 May 2000 was the opening day of public services on the New Addington route. Here the very first car, carrying VIPs and other special guests, is seen approaching the Gravel Hill stop. It carries a floral decoration at the front. This was in mid-morning: a few minutes later, the first car available to the general public followed.
