This scrapyard was operated by Arnott, Young Ltd, adjacent to the former S&D Railway line behind the Fighting Cocks public house. The main scrap yard is just visible to the left background. The dmu car SC56395, depicted here, remained on site until 1983 when it was re-bogied and travelled to Suffolk for specialist disposal due to blue asbestos contamination.
