Baltonsborough was not the most obvious of places to go to in WWII but the fields needed workers to keep the food supply going. In the Spring of 1940 a small cottage was built from corrugated sheeting and timber to house members of the Women's Land Army. Now lovingly restored with period features, the cottage is available for a holiday let.
