This timbered framed building has an interesting history and is thought to have originally been built as a hall house around c1475-1525. The nearby church is older but this building in thought to be the second oldest in St. John's. It has been used as shops and since about 2019 it has been used as a ale and cider house. It narrowly escaped demolition in the 1970's, due to its historical significance not having been fully understood. Prior to this some parts had been removed or altered over the years. It is a Grade II listed building. Image
