Listed as 7 Quay Street, " Large corner shop, with offices above, and attached warehouses. Designed by Alfred J. Cornelius in 1908" https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1201521?section=official-list-entry , so not that old an ale house. "High Victorian style with Baroque influence ... The most striking features are the enormous keyed lunette windows with enriched architraves lighting the first floors of these 2 outer bays".
