Near Talybont on Usk. Benaiah was a prominent Israelite warrior who served under King David and later King Solomon. He was the son of Jehoiada, commander of the royal guard (the Cherethites and Pelethites), and was known for his great strength and valiant deeds, such as killing a lion in a pit on a snowy day and fighting an Egyptian. He played a key role in securing Solomon's succession to the throne and later executed Solomon's rivals, Adonijah and Joab, on Solomon's orders No one knows why this chapel was named after Benaiah.
