The banner above the entrance door shouts 'BRING BARNET BACK' which leaves one to wonder, where did it go? Until recently the pub sign was of the usual painted variety, depicting a UK steam locomotive more or less appropriate to its location besides the East Coast Main Line. Now it is a cutaway silhouette of possibly a US loco.
