It has been a long, hot and dry summer as the grassed areas can attest. Studley Castle isn't really a castle, it just looks a bit like one. Dating to the time of William IV it is, nevertheless, listed Grade II* https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1355446?section=official-list-entry. Now a country hotel, for most of its life in the 20th century it was a school teaching horticulture and agriculture to women.
