The Institute of Technology, Castle Street, Stafford is built on the site of the former Stafford railway steam engine shed. It is operated by Newcastle and Stafford College Group (NSCG). In recent years the site has been occupied by various businesses. The engine shed was occupied by various training departments of NSCG. The whole site was cleared in 2023 to make way for the Institute. The architects are EllisWilliams and the construction firm is Speller Metcalfe. The building work is now complete and the building is ready for occupancy.
