Zachariah, although not qualified as a doctor, was clearly a much regarded healer in the area, the monument being erected by public subscription in 1898. Originally sited in the Market Place, it is thought to have been moved to Titchfield Park at the time of its development in the 1920s. The monument also records other members of the family who followed his practice. Listed Grade II.
