Now converted into two dwellings called Red Roof Cottage and Pantiles Cottage, the hospital was originally four small cottages built as almshouses by Sir Griffith Boynton in 1726 for the free accommodation of four poor men from Barmston, Burton Agnes, Haisthorpe, and Roxby.
