The Uckfield Line

The line between Uckfield and Tunbridge Wells West was opened in 1868. In 1990 it was reduced from two tracks to one. Until 1969, the service used to continue to Lewes and Brighton. It is one of the few non-electrified lines in the south-east. The next station in this direction is Crowborough.
