The house is one of a pair dating from the 1830s; see the listing at the Historic England site https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1291491?section=official-list-entry . They form part of a larger group, a crescent of grand town houses which now overlooks the Middle Ring Road, which is in itself rather surreal.
