One of three panels dated 1808, representing Wisdom (this one), Justice and Mercy. Stated to be copies of those of 1790 on Chelmsford Shire Hall, but this extends only to a very similar composition and symbolism. The details are all different, e.g. the lady here crosses her legs the other way around at Chelmsford. The building as a whole is grade II*(star) listed.
