In front of flats on Willow Close, facing the A343 (Andover Road). The garden was planted in 2021 and is dedicated to the NHS and the sacrifices that have been made during the COVID-19 pandemic. The garden has herbs, shrubs, and plants known for their medicinal qualities. The sculpture is 'Binary Conversation' by Joseph Hillier. This area was part of the original Newbury District Hospital, built in 1884, following the closure of the Nurses Home and Navvy Hospital in Bartholomew Terrace. The hospital originally housed 12 patients, but was extended from 1894 onwards. In 1948 the hospital was taken over by the NHS, though it continued to accept private patients. Willow Close is a retirement living block of flats and was built in 2012. It is run by Sovereign Network Group. It replaced bungalows on the site.
