Kingston Basin being filled in

This was the fitting-out basin of the Kingston shipyard in Port Glasgow. It is being filled in to make way for a housing and retail development. The sand has been dredged from the River Leven at Dumbarton and will be pumped into the basin by this special ship over a five week period.
