Houses on Church Street. Nearest, on the corner of Union Street (named Pig Fair on the 1903 25" map) is no 23. A plaque on the wall states that from c.1864 - c.1868 it was a pub, the Railway Tavern. The ground floor premises are currently occupied by a yoga clinic; the 2009 Streetview show it as a Mace cornershop. Note the elephant sculpture on the Union Street wall - see Image for a close up. Beyond are nos 25 & 27, once a single house dating from the 16th Century, partially rebuilt and extended in the 19th Century.
