The sign advising cyclists to dismount brings a smile. Welsh has no single word for "dismounting". "Dod oddi ar y beic" (come off the bike) would be the colloquial way of expressing it. However, the pedants insist on using "disgyn". Unfortunately, in every day usage, "disgyn" means "to fall off" - so that the sign advises the cyclist that this is "the spot to fall off the bicycle".
