The Abbeydale Picture House, built in 1920 by Dixon & Stienlet. "Built with a fly tower enabling its use as a theatre and refurbished for that purpose in 2008 but closed again in 2012." Steel-framed but clad in faience. Grade II listed. It first closed as a cinema in 1975. Since this photo it has partially re-opened (a bar may have been here when this photo was taken) and in 2025 it was bought by True North Brew Co. which plans to restore it to former glory. Third time lucky?
