The Westgate Hall Buildings are located at the junction of Westgate Road and Corporation Street in what is known as the 'Big Lamp' area of Newcastle. It was built between 1900 and 1902 to a design by Crouch and Butler, a Birmingham-based architectural practice, as a Wesleyan Mission Hall. It consists of rock-faced sandstone, ashlar dressings and a roof of dark slates with a lead dome. Designed in a 'Free Art Nouveau' style it is a Grade II Listed building. These are two of three rather impressive double doors which originally gave entry from Corporation Street into the school and hall.
